Overview
We’re going to have a look at a few of the ‘Best’ of the many Outlander sets in the Central Region.. there’s only so much you can see in one day!
Take 2 - ‘ACTION’
1st stop - Midhope castle - Lallybroch, Jamies family home.
2nd Stop - Blackness Castle - Forth William
3rd stop - Linlithgow Palace - Wentworth Prison
4th Stop - Culross - Cranesmuir
5th stop - Aberdour Castle - Recovery after Wentworth Prison
6th Stop - Doune Castle - Mackenzie Ancestral Home, Castle Leach

3rd Stop - Linlithgow Palace - Wentworth Prison

4th Stop - Culross (pro; Cu-ros) aka Cranesmuir
Jamie the hero gets to save the little boys ear, if you remember the boy was nailed to a cart!
This is a stunning little village in its own right!
5th Stop - Aberdour Castle
Jamie recovers here after his ordeal at Wentworth Prison
6th Stop - Doune Castle - Castle Leoch
The Mackenzie clans ancestral home, it features many times in the series
Lots has happened here and I’m sure you will recognise it straight away.
It’s here we were 1st introduced to Murtagh, Miss Fitz, Laoghaire and Column the laird of Clan Mackenzie.
Monty Python & the Holy Grail and the Game of Thrones pilot were also filmed here.
